The Golden Globe Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles (USA) on the evening of January 6 (morning of January 7 Hanoi time) with many surprises in the film branch.

Actor Rami Malek – the male lead of the movie `Bohemian Rhapsody` was happy with the film’s victory.

This victory was considered shocking by the Guardian website.

A Star Is Born also failed in another important category – female lead in a drama.

Another surprise was that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse surpassed Incredibles 2 in the animation award.

The movie that won the most awards was Green Book, in the comedy/musical, supporting actor (Mahershala Ali) and screenplay categories.

In the television segment, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and The Kominsky Method won the most awards (2).

A highlight of the awards ceremony was when Sandra Oh won the female lead drama series award for Killing Eve.

Online publisher Netflix had a successful night with four awards divided equally between The Kominsky Method and Roma.

In general, the awards ceremony was less political than last year – when Oprah Winfrey gave an eloquent speech about protecting women, and the anti-sexual abuse movement was at a height.

On stage, the female star born in 1947 choked up when sharing about her career and the rise of women in society.
