“No administration in history has been so internally divided, both in terms of direction and the path it should take,” former chief strategist Steve Bannon said in an interview with the Washington Post on August 19.

According to Mr. Bannon, President Trump’s supporters are feeling frustrated with Congress’s stagnation in implementing the US leader’s promises since he was a candidate for president, including

“If the Republicans on Capitol Hill (US Congress) could stand behind the president and support his plans, instead of their plans, everything would be sweeter and gentler,

Mr. Bannon said that there was animosity happening inside the White House and within the Republican leadership, but that did not completely reflect the division of America.

“The tension inside the White House is a little different from the tension that exists within the United States.

According to the former White House chief strategist, both the Democratic and Republican parties need to focus on issues that the American working class cares about.

Despite being fired from the White House last week, both President Trump and former chief strategist Bannon had good words for each other.

While Mr. Trump thanked Mr. Bannon and believed that he would do a good job running the Breitbart news agency after leaving the White House, Mr. Bannon also vowed to fight for Mr. Trump against those who oppose the president.

Chief strategist Bannon is the next figure to leave the Trump administration in the cycle of personnel changes at the White House in recent months.
