With Ronaldo’s hat-trick and Jose Callejon’s scoring goal, Real Madrid deserved to win 3 points in the Madrid derby.

Compared to the 0-0 draw with Valencia last weekend, coach Jose Mourinho made many changes in the starting lineup.

Coach Mourinho’s changes did not take effect as quickly as fans expected.

In a tense match, Ronaldo’s individual talent put Real ahead.

The opening goal significantly relieved the psychological pressure on Real – the team that Barca shortened the gap from 10 points to 1 point in just one month.

However, Atletico also showed the bravery of a strong team, most notably the equalizer at the beginning of the second half.

Bringing great joy to Atletico fans, the 1-1 equalizer stimulated Real players to attack more determinedly.

Atletico only had one more chance: Falcao’s header, then midfielder Diego Godin ended his hopes of equalizing by fouling Higuain in the penalty area.

In the 88th minute, Real scored a 4-1 victory.
