The Democratic Party controlling the US House of Representatives today plans to propose the establishment of a panel under the 25th Amendment of the US Constitution to assess whether President Donald Trump is capable of continuing to lead the country or not.

This proposal, if passed, could allow the establishment of a panel of experts appointed by leaders of both parties in the House and Senate, to perform medical examinations under the direction of parliament to `determine

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi previously expressed concern about Trump’s health condition when he was treated for Covid-19.

`Some people say that when you take steroids or are infected with nCoV, your cognitive and decision-making abilities will be impaired,` she added.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke to reporters at the US Congress headquarters on October 8.

Mr. Trump was prescribed dexamethasone, a drug used to reduce pneumonia in Covid-19 patients, but in some cases can cause mental health side effects, including mood changes and anger.

In live remarks at an event in New York earlier this week, Pelosi did not call for invoking the 25th Amendment against Trump, but said the proposal could apply to future presidents.

The 25th Amendment outlines the procedures for transferring power to the vice president in the event of the US president’s death, incapacitation, removal from office, or resignation.

Meanwhile, Republicans accused Ms. Pelosi of trying to discredit Trump.

On October 7, Trump returned to the Oval Office, his official workplace, for the first time since returning to the White House from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Maryland on October 5.

However, the White House doctors’ announcement did not provide important information such as when Trump last tested negative, the results of a lung scan, or whether he is taking any medications that can suppress symptoms.
